The days spent preparing for our 27th season have been sentimental. With the next generation on my hip and becoming acquainted with our family’s work/life balance – some wonderful memories come flooding back for sure.
Wasn’t it just a few years ago that we were carrying around our own children at our business and teaching them our values and work ethic?
Wasn’t it just a few years ago that we decided to build a family business that would keep our children (the next generation) fully engaged, united, happy, and satisfied with a future in local agriculture?
Well, over the past 26 years, we look back at the many lessons, ideas, programs, innovations, successes, failures, newsworthy events, collaborations, friendships and more with heartfelt gratitude.
Now, at year #27, we reflect upon that simple idea of starting a business in honor of our first newborn child in 1998. We reflect upon it with the next generation in our arms and fully aware of the sacrifices, love, and unity that come with the journey of sustaining a “locally grown” business and healthy family.
We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to watch another generation grow on the farm!
